  • Key observation: Students observed the natural forest, biodiversity, co-management activity, ecotourism of the Satchari National Park and Lawachara National Park. Students became acquainted with the betel leaf cultivation by ethnic communities for livelihood along with their traditional lifestyle. At BTRI students were briefed about research activities generally conducted in the soil research division, botany division and pathology and entomology division. Air and sound pollution in Jaflong due to stone crushing by the numerous crushing industries was also observed at Jaflong of Zointapur upazila, Sylhet.
